I might be wrong but i was thinking Shifters was a joint effort by Mr Lee and Mr Pelan? There is a guy on Abebooks selling a copy signed by all 4 Authors??? Lee, Pelan, GAK and Ketchum????  could understand the first two, maybe three but did Ketchum have anything to do with this book? Should I avoid this sale with a 100ft pole? |

The Obsidian Books book is written by Lee and Pelan with cover art by GAK and introduction by Ketchum. All 4 signed it on the signature page. Sounds fine to me all 4 are just not the authors here. |

woah woah woah.... what I was saying was that Decayedfaces copy was cooler than the ABE one... chill guys, there is no cuts to anything anywhere, I was just joking. |

Correct, Ketchum wrote the intro, GAK did the art, therefore they signed too. I cowrote the book with John Pelan in the late 90's, setting it in my new then-home Seattle--a creepy city in its own right, and the "bum" characters are based on real guys who'd hang out at the bus stop I used to go downtown. They were a frigged up bunch'a guys, I'll tell ya. If homeless guys could be possessed by evil, these gentlemen were it. But there is no "cut" version. The original hc, then trade pb, and the Kindle are all the same text and there's nothing "cut" about it. Don't know where that rumor came from. It's a cool book, a little abstract, with lots of rough stuff in it. The artwork is atypical and wonderful and the hard plastic dustjacket is unique. Thanks to anyone who has bought it. I can't remember if this is the book whose deluxes Jon and I signed in blood; it was this or Goon. Damn, my memory sucks! Edward Lee |
