Again, sorry my appearances on the board are so brief and distanced: I'm starting to acknowledge that I'm WAY TOO OLD to be doing all this stuff by myself; yet I'm happy in the further acknowledgement that I'm almost finished! My mother's trip to Florida went great; she arrived at the new nursing home last Wednesday after I flew in Tuesday night, came home, and somehow got to the nursing home an hour before the transport did at 6ishin the morning. The good news: it's a great nursing home' the bad new is myh mother's dementia is worsinig to an alarming degree. I can only hope the psych director is correct in her believe that adjustments to her meds will solve the problem. If it doesn't I'll have to move her to a mental hospital. I'm thrilled that there's such morbid interest in my bloody books; I'll proabbaly cut myself severalmore times on those Scotch brand tape things and bleed like a stuck pig. The tape from the dollar store works great, but, no, not the 7 dollar Scotch one. The edges are diabolical; they seems to create wounds that take forever to heal. Forgot to mention I saw a flick called Tunnel which was really cool, and The Haunting and The Tomb on Chiller which were a blast. Also saw Evil Aliens, a wonderful gross out comedy whose only sore point was--you guessed it--tiled out nudity. I'll have to get the r-rated one! As for the storms, I totlly lucked out. I was in MD when the first storm rolled over my house in FL, then in FL when Maryland got trashed. I feelbad for all those who weren't so lucky. Neighbors in MD have told me that the power is still out at my mother's house and that's where I'm headed tomorrow. It's a good thing I like heat and humidity cos there'll be plenty of that waiting for me. Once there, I gotta have a plumber fix a leaky pipe in the living room ceiling, get a new fridge and dryer, get my retainer back from the lawyer, ship a dozen heavy as hell boxes to FL, sell my mother's car, then evacuate the house by the 10th to turn over to the refurbishment crew. Yeah, I'm getting too old for this! I will definitely take previous suggestions and do a few "EVP"s at the house and shot some video at the closet and the pain in the ass "footsteps" room. Should be...interesting. Gotta pack now. Thanks, as always, for your support and concern. Happy 4th Ed, as a member of the british colonies I would like to say there are no hard feelings  We have Guy Fawkes night where we celebrate a guy called Guy who failed to blow up parliament. Why we celebrate failure I have no idea, maybe its time to try again. In case MI5 or the CIA are watching I'm only joking  Managed to find The Pact on You Tube hopefully it's as scary as everyone says, failing that theres always piranha 3DD.. |
