In a couple of weeks i saw some terrific indie horror. Father's day Tony (london serial killer) and yesterday Alyce I like the big hollywood titles like fredddy, jason etc. , but came to the conclusion that indie flicks are much better. violent shit, serbian film, would never have been produced by big companies. they are awesome. how do you all feel about indipenent horror films ? |

I love independent horror films too but sometimes you have to search through a lot of rubbish to get to the good stuff. Saw an advert for a new horror film OSOMBIE where a zombified Bin Laden is raising hell in afghanistan with his zombie taliban soldiers, as if they didn't have enough trouble. Osombie? DAMN! I wish I'd thought of that! Overall I'd have to say indie horror is much more daring the big budget for obvious reasons. Lately I find myself disliking the big hollywood blockbusters because so many of them seem to be simply vehicles for the latest CGI, while indies seem to prioritize concept and story. (Right now I'm watching Return to House on Haunted Hill; not a very good story but great acting, especially by Jeffrey Combs, and, well, some really HOT naked demon chicks. Maybe I should improve the quality of MY priorities!) |

If anyone hasn't seen it, I highly recommend the unrated version of Carver. It's a well done indie horror flick. Frayed is another well done horror flick. It's like Halloween, but without the mask. A movie company worth checking out is Dark Night films. They have some good indie horrorfilms. Copycat/Chameleon Killer is worth a view. I agree. Being that the indie horror films don't have the big budgets, they have to focus on story and plot. For the longest time, I was a fan of fanmade/low budget/no budget horror films. Some were well done. Others were junk. However, stay away from Dead Clowns. It is the worst piece of garbage I've ever seen. |

Is Carver on Netflix streaming the unrated version? Funny you mention this, as we just watched it last week. We enjoyed it, but if there's an unrated version, I would certainly be interested in seeing that! Konnie |

Right now I'm watcing a haunted house flick called Pact and it's surprisingly disturbing. I think I forgot to mention that several weeks ago I saw a subtitled South American flick called The Baby Room and it has some scenes that made me wanna hide under the covers. And recently my girlfriend loaned me two flicks, Blood Gnomes and Dark Floors. The former, not so good, that latter excellent even thought I could never figure what it was about!
