Post subject:  Upcoming Edward Lee movies ?
Dear Mr. Lee

Are there going to be new movie adaptions from your books ?
I liked Header, and hope there will be another Header movie.

I think it's very strange only header has been made into a film.
You have such an extraordinary imagination, why doesn't anyone dare to translate your books into film.

Personally i would love to see Messenger, Stickmen, Going monsturum and Lucifer's lottery being made into film.

Also the coven and the chosen would make nice filmmaterial.

Granted, your books are sometimes very grusome, but we love that :v.
They make movies like saw, hostel (bloody boring if you ask me) with just gore and no story.
Now we have your books, bloody, gory, humorous and most of the time a good story.
If they make a movie like serbian film, some scenes are more shocking than your books, why are they so afraid.

They make crap movies from Stephen King novels, only good one is Carrie and The mist.
Hope oneday moviegooers can enjoy your work.

By the way : many thanks for your novels, you haven't disappointed me yet.

I'm still amazed somebody dared to film HEADER and not only did it but did it goddamn well! I'd have considered that story unfilmable but they proved me wrong.

There was talk of a movie version of THE BIGHEAD a while ago. Last thing I heard, Ed was doing a polish on the screenplay. Haven't heard anything since then. There was also a plan to do another HEADER movie but for some reason it was going to be based on HEADS (HEADER 3) and not HEADER 2. Ed originally stated that he'd write HEADER 3 as a screenplay first and then do the novel later. No clue if that's still the plan but considering the last couple times he talked about it there was no mention of the movie that may have fallen by the wayside.

Making films is a tricky business with an emphasis on business. For every film that gets made, there's at least 50 projects that never go anywhere for various reasons.

I would love an Infernal movie series. The visuals I had while reading it were amazing. I would love to see someone adapt them. Fingers crossed. :)

I don't think I'm allowed to say too much yet, but I will say that Deadite Press got contacted by the people making the Bighead movie. It is happening . . .

wasn't it minotauress that was being made into a film as well, with a woman as the producer that Lee talked about last year or was it another film adaptation?

Bighead in a movie.
Hope if it's true they'll make an R rated movie of it, preferably an X rated movie, if they dare.
Would make a nice gory movie.

How about Haunter of the treshold (what a film that would be).

The nation will be in shock :)

I just noticed that the GRUB GIRL movie hasn't been mentioned so far. If you haven't seen GRUB GIRL, Craven Moorehead's adaptation of Ed's short story "Grub Girl in the Prison of Dead Woman" as well as of the comics it inspired, you should check it out. It manages to stick pretty closely to the short story's plot despite being an actual hardcore porno.

Ed may not have had a ton of his work filmed so far but I think he's 2 for 2 with the films that got made. I'll take quality over quantity any time of the day.

Ah, film options. I've had many and they all seen to go south at the last minute. That happened especially often with City Infernal. It' wasn't Minotauress that had a big bite from the female producer, it was, believe it or not, The Pig. The script was very well done, plus I got to tweak it, and then...it all went south! These thinigs happen. I've got other things in the works but it's a jinx to even mention them cos the truth is they'll all probably go south. The producers of the Bighead, yes, are still pretty confident about getting financing (they renewed the option recently) so that's the one closest to becoming a real project.

But I'll tell ya. I keep watching these Paranormal Activity flicks and their clones, and it occurs to me that these guys aren't maximizing that "device" at all. I've got an idea for a PA clone that would blow all of these out of the water. Hell, I wish someone would just give me thirty grand and I'd hire a crew and do it myself!
