Read on the net that Black Train is an edited version of Gast.
Why is it edited, and is there much difference.

This is my first topic. I am a dutchman, and great fan of Ed Lee, Wrath James White and Bentley Little. Read on the net that Black Train is an edited version of Gast. Why is it edited, and is there much difference. Love this forum.

The most graphic sex scenes were removed for the BLACK TRAIN version because the publisher, Leisure/Dorchester deemed them too extreme for American mainstream audiences. However, when making the changes for BLACK TRAIN and removing those naughty parts, Ed included a new subplot that is exclusive to the BLACK TRAIN version. As a result, both versions are worth reading, in my opinion. They are both excellent and BLACK TRAIN is certainly more than just a censored edition of GAST. |

Thanks for the answer Wetbones  .Ed Lee, you're a hero to me. Never seen an author take so many part in discussions. Superb, you're one writer who knows how to deal with his fans. I just ordered Gast by Ebay, Can't wait to see the changes. It has your autograph and is numbered. Love those numbered editions, signed and all. Unfortunately your books have never been published translated in dutch, would love to read bighead in dutch  .Hopefully one day the dutch readers, who mostly read stephen king and dean koontz, will finally learn how real horror stories has to been written. Holland is a bad country for horrorfans, even waterstones in amsterdam don't have your books. By the Way : really love HOUSE / Pig and going monstrum. A collegue of mine read going monstrum, and turned white as a ghost  Edward Lee, thx for the many books that bring pleasure for me. |
