Chris, thanks for generous words on Witch Water; I was proud of my ability to avoid excess perversion in it! And I really dug your Happy HalLEEween! Thanks!. JPOKELA: a Gene Simmons costume won? What did YOU go as? (Next year I'm gonna go to a Halloween party and have 3-inch wide bloody hole in my forehead!) lthrby1: sorry about the freakish snow (you know, you could always move to FL. We don't have that stuff here.) Have a great Anniversary! Every one else: Have a GREAT Halloween! Eldritchly, Edward Lee |

I went to the Halloween party disguised as a volunteer for the Lions. I sold beer tickets to the well costumed crowd. Nine out of ten were dressed up! Out local Lions club has a monopoly on beer sales at the Anoka county fair, this block party, and a few other local events. All proceeds go to worthy causes. We try to stick to our core mission, which is help for those with vision problems. I sit on the board of directors, which once a month goes through requests for help, and then forwards our decisions on to the general body for voting on where we spend the cash. The entire Lions organization is funded from out own personal pockets. It's a great organization. Every dollar you donate goes to charity. It's rare for a Lions club to be involved in beer sales but it gives us deeper pockets than most clubs. I have a blast selling the tickets. The best part is when drunks try to prove they are sober. They just crack me up! Gene Simmons was a gas. He got invited up on stage a couple times during the band's performance. He had the part down cold. Perfect overacting! We had a Jimi Hendrix who air guitared during Purple Haze. My personal highlight was AC/DC's Dirty Deeds. This crowd was rockin! Facial injuries were one of the most common outfits this year, Ed. I am sure you will find something to stand out from the pack next year!! |

Thanks Ed. Yesterday was a good day. Plus, the snow is almost gone, as temps were near 50 in the afternoon. Now, as long as I'm able to get to the show when it's rescheduled, life will be good again. |
