I just finished The Haunter of the Threshold, and it was amazing. Ed, you constantly amaze me at the depths of depravity in your books. Just when I think you have outdone yourself, you never fail to find some new way to shock me. So my question to you: is The Dunwich Romance not only a sequal to The Dunwich Horror but also a sequal to The Haunter of the Threshold? Either way, I need to put some money on my card tomorrow so I can pre-order it, and then attempt to wait patiently until november. I'm gonna head off here so I can start Going Monstering while I wait for Witch Water to arrive. ![]() ~Tony Beals |

No, Dunwich Romance doesn't sequelize any aspect of Haunter, but I do plan on using Hazel in my future sequel to Colour out of Space. Of course, she'll have a convenient case of amnesia and will remember precious little of what happened to her in Haunter (and, of course, she'll still be an out-of-her-mind erotomaniac!) As for DR, it's not so much a sequel to Lovecraft's mind-boggling masterpiece but serves instead as more of an adjunct. My story depicts in great detail the last several days of Wilbur Whateley's plight before his grisly death at Miskatonic University. Lovecraft's great piece is almost all plot; we don't get to know anything more than superficialities about Wilbur, his grandfather, or mother, but in my story we definitely do! Thanks, as always, for your support and interest! Edward Lee |

I'm not sure if someone mentioned this yet but... I was wondering if DUNWICH ROMANCE and/or WITCH WATER are the size of PAGES TORN FROM A TRAVEL JOURNAL... Though I think PAGES TORN is a gorgeous book.. I was a little bit underwhelmed by its size considering the price. Does anyone know about this? Thanks! |

The style of PAGES TORN didn't do a thing for me. |

I agree, Pages Torn was small for its price; I wish I could tell you Dunwich Romance and Witch-Water will be bigger but I honestly don't know. Jpokela: if you didn't dig the style of Pages you'll likely not like the style of Dunwich. Duniwch is written in the 3rd person tense (well, most of it is) while Pages was in 1st, but they're both semi-imitations of HPL's letter-writing style and prose style. I know this can be cumbersome for some readers. Witch Water, on the other hand is contemporary except for some letter-excerpts, and Header 3 is written in my modern style. Thanks for the insights, comments, etc. Edward Lee |

I have my copy of Witch Water and it isn't small. It looks great, and thanks Ed for putting me in the acknowledgements. I might bring it to work and start in on it. I'm still reading The Chosen, which is really good. ~Tony Beals |
