Hi wondered if anyone could help me? Is Backwoods paperback the same as Ltd Edt Hardback? and what do people think of it? Is it close/similar to any other Lee works? PS cant wait for Header3, re-reading Header 2 at the mo! |

I think it is the same but better someone else confirms that. I finished it last week and it is in fact somewhat different than other Lee's. Don't expect anything like his other backwoods books. It's also quite tame for a Lee. But I liked it better than Haunter of the Threshold which I also finished recently. Overall I would put it somewhere in the middle ranks of his Leisure books. |

Pb is the same story as the Hardcover. But for me Ed Lee reads best when it's in a big chunky book. It's not a hardcore book, but it's a good read none the less. |

No, Backwoods is definitely not of the same tenor in extremity as more recent projects; I wrote it as a mass-market pb. I'm not even sure if I'll try to write any more mass market horror, due to the economy. (I think I have only 3 or 4 more proposals that would be intended for mm houses; Heads is one of them). Actually I'm couldn't be happier with all this small press/limited edition work (I have 7 books sold in advance with contracts, and at least 3 more in the hopper.) Believe it or not I'm toying with several mm ideas that aren't horror but that wouldn't be embarked upon for quite some time. Later! Edward Lee |
