Where do I start with this post? Let’s start with the news that “yes” we (NEP) are still here. I can also say that “no” I haven’t handled things that happened in my personal life very good. In fact, you would be justified in saying I handled it horribly, or just about as bad as you can. There’s nothing I can change about what was done. After my Dad passed away, I isolated myself from every person that was close to me. I stopped caring about pretty much everything in life and fell down this huge hole. Many times in my life I’ve talked with people about how no matter how good things are going in the moment, life has the way of getting in the way. I thought I was a strong person physically and mentally, but I never knew what it was like to be tested. Tested by losing one of the two people who have been there for me my entire life. The bright side is that I’m still here and so is NEP. We have a new release to announce very soon. Most lettered copies of THE EVERLASTING have now shipped out. I’m behind on NEP emails and we’ll be doing everything we can do to catch up quick on replying. If you have an order in with us and especially if you are a customer who gets a matching number from us on titles, your number is still here and we’ll make things right soon. For the time being, if it’s a time sensitive issue email me at my personal account at dkoish@yahoo.com Finally, I wanted to apologize for everyone I’ve hurt or offended by my silence, inactivity, and selfishness. Let me be the first to welcome you back publicly, Don! I've been an NEP lifer since the start and that's not going to change. I know a lot of other folks feel the same way too. Well, I would love to have been the first to publicly say "damn, but its great to see a post from Don," but James is faster. But I doubt the first reply could have come from a more failthful Don and NEP fan. Don - welcome back. I'm hoping that the hard times are in the past now, and you can keep looking forwrd and work towards returning NEP to the publisher it can be. I'll be along for the ride, and hangning on tight so we can all stay in the saddle together. |
