I won't always have a collection of the different authors I throw up on these threads. I'm sad to say this is the case with Mr. Bradbury for me, but I'm sure a few of you fellow collectors have some nice collections. Let's see them. And a big thanks to everyone who has been posting on these collection threads. I'm sure having a hell of a lot of fun with it and it's fabulous to see the different things my fellow collectors have on their shelves. |

When I lived in Los Angeles I used to go to Mr. Bradbury's readings whenever I could. I used to run into him in the mall in Santa Monica. He always had time to chat with a fan. The first post Dr. Seuss book I ever read to my daughters was the Halloween Tree. ![]() The 1st edition of Fahrenheit 451, for me, is one the high points of my collection. In 1988, when he signed it for me, Ray joked that he couldn't afford a copy. He smiled when I told him that I traded several 1st edition Assimov books for it. ![]() I am putting this last mixed author pic up just for the hell of it. All are signed except for 2001. ![]() |

Well, I wish we had the Gauntlet titles, and we have most in paperback, but here are our Bradbury books. ![]() chris |

Yikes and here I thought I was one of the only collectors that didn't have any Bradbury. I'll try and pick an author everyone will have more pics of next time folks. |

Chris. I didn't realize that the 1st edition of Fahrenheit 451 was small like that, what is it's trim size? |

First hardcover edition published by Ballantine in 1953. This edition had a print run of approximately 4500 copies. 200 copies were signed and numbered and bound in "Johns-Manville Quinterra," an asbestos material. The trim size is 5 1/8" X 6 3/4". Scott |
