Not sure if you all read my board here (not that there's been anything TOO read lately). I just posted a link to my journal, where I've put up some pictures of a promotional contest going on. In the wake of my last collection getting nominated for the 2007 Stoker, and one of the stories therein WINNING the Stoker, Dark Regions Press is putting out a "definitive" 300 plus page collection of my work this summer. The collection is titled "Ennui & Other States of Madness," and the title story, Ennui, is a favorite of mine, involving Jack the Ripper, referencing (briefly) Dracula... Anyway... to help promote the book, I've been learning a new craft. I am creating a one-of-a-kind hand-bound edition of the collection that will be given to one lucky pre-oderer of the limited or lettered edition of the book. There is also an affordable trade paperback. Along with the hand-made book, I'm giving an antique bullseye lantern I bought for research when writing ENNUI - it dates from the days of Jack the Ripper and may well have been worn by a Bobbie on the streets at that time...it cost me a good bit, but I want to see it remain part of the legacy of the story, so it's now a prize.
