I didn't originally post anything about this after I read it, because I don't know how many people bought the limited hardcover, and I have no idea if Leisure ever actually released this as an ebook or not, so I wasn't sure there would be much discussion. But since Horrordude asked, I figured I would give my thoughts. The story follows George and Lou, two well-known and respected thugs-for-hire. They've been given what appears to be a quick and easy job transporting a "werewolf" on a 3-hour trip across Florida. The man they're transporting is a disheveled guy, not exactly manacing, and annoying as hell. It''s two weeks away from a full moon, and he's even in a cage. Nothing could possibly go wrong here. And of course, chaos and carnage ensue. Blood spills and body parts go flying - literally, piece by piece. You've got car chases with sticks of dynamite flying between cars, an all-out brawl at a bar called the Cotton Mouse Tavern, and werewolves crashing through bowling alleys. Basically, you have an all-out action/horror novel that starts off fast and never lets up (if you've read The Haunted Forest Tour, you'll have an idea of the pacing). But the best part are the characters. George and Lou had me laughing out loud at times, and their banter with the werewolf was highly entertaining. In my humble opinion, Dweller is still Strand's best novel when it comes to emotions and how a book can affect the reader. But from a pure entertainment standpoint, Wolf Hunt is about as fun as it gets. |

It sounds like Benjamen's Parasite revisited. That one was really good. |

I hope this one sees release as a TPB. Strand is always a great read. |

George and Lou were great characters. I'd love to see them again. |
