Ollie has written two books that deserve a reading audience, Sideshow and The Mountain. The Mountain just may be the best Laymon like story I've ever read since the master of dark fiction passed away. And Sideshow is one heck of a coming of age, scary thrill ride in a carnival setting since Something Wicked This Way Comes, Freakshow, and Sideshow Exhibits.

I'm not sure why these are delayed, but I've reviewed both and I am dying to turn them in, I enjoyed them that much. These books should be read.

You've convinced me. I'm off to find The Mountain right now. :)

You won't find it. I recieved a review copy and its been held up since.

That's what I mean, its sounds like a great read, and it is, but its still in limbo for some reason.

Hi all. I've also read the manuscripts of both The Mountain and Sideshow and agree that both are extremely entertaining and riveting novels. While I cannot speak with any certain knowledge concerning The Mountain, I am pleased to inform all of you that there will be some very interesting news concerning Sideshow at the brand new, upgraded/revised Dark Regions Press website in the immediate future. The new improved site should be premiering by the end of this coming week over at . We have made the site easier to navigate and easier to order from and it will contain a number of other improvements. If you check out the site sometime between the 10th and 15th of this month, there will be some great news for fans of Bill Ollie and of Sideshow

Best,

Norm

That is good news. I hope what ever you come out with is affordable though and not just for collectors. I thought it was a shame that people missed out on Ollies, The Damned, because of its high price.

Dear TT & All:

We couldn't agree with you more. Heck, thanks to some health problems and the effects of the economy, I've found myself, along with many people, unable to purchase any of the expensive "collectible" signed and numbered limited or deluxe edition hardcovers. Yet, also like many of you, I still want to be be able to read the really fantastic new fiction being released now in the horror genre. Luckily, Dark Regions Press is committed to also publishing reasonably priced softcover editions of all its titles and, in most cases, also now publishing e-book editions of their titles as well. So, yes, Bill's Sideshow will soon be for sale in both a softcover edition and as an e-book as well. I would also add that most of the horror specialty presses are also similarly making available such more reasonably priced softcover and digital e-books for horror readers, and kudos to them as well.

Best,

Well, it wasn't planned that way. I had no idea Norm was releasing this. But I'm glad he is.

I did get a weird e mail on it though, someone asked me about a comment I made on Sideshow awhile back without asking me why they wanted me to comment on it. And they never returned my email asking me to explain why they wanted to know. To be honest, I thought I screwed something up somehow with my comment. I know that Cargo Cult Press had something to do with one of Ollie's releases, but they sold the buisness, I don't remember who bought them. However the whole e mail thing refreshed my memory on both books so I posted this thread.

And I was tired of Ollie writing about cats. Not there is anything wrong with cats, but he should be talking about his books.
