I'm sort of mixed about it. I was excited to hear they were making a new one because I loved the TV show but the preview for it didn't really seem as good as I thought it would. I'll go see ir no matter what. I just love the characters and the concept so much. I even read three of the X-files novels that came out several years ago. ![]() |

I loved the X-Files. For the longest time my on-line handle was either Esther Nairn or Invisigoth after the episode that William Gibson wrote called KILLSWITCH. My favorite phrase is "Byte Me" ![]() My favorite episodes, in no particular order: Home Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose The Anasazi The Blessing Way Paperclip (all three from Season 2 to Season 3 ARC) Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man The Lone Gunman Momento Mori Post Modern Prometheus Jose Chung's From Outer Space Syzygy Pusher I loved the first hour of the movie, hated the second. In fact, I wish they had never gone 2 places: 1) The alien conspiracy - to convoluted. They should have stuck to the weird and bizarre 2) A relationship between Mulder and Scully. It *destroyed* the show IMHO Am I fan, a bit - one of my cats is named (on his certificate) S.A. Fox Mulder (Mulder for short) and the other is named Emily Dana Scully (after Scully's daughter - Season 5) I will probably go see the new movie - I just hope they don't go back into the alien stuff and make a true X-Files movie. |

I will definitely be there. I have all nine seasons on disc, but I must say they should have stoped the show at the end of season seven. Nanci. Can you grab another chair? I need a seat at the geek club. ![]() |

Jose Chung's From Outer Space is my all time favorite episode. It's the one that hooked me on the series. I have heard that the movie is not supposed to be going back into the whole alien conspiracy thing, which I too am glad they are staying away from. I definately liked the stand alone monster of the week shows the best. ![]() |

I'll be seeing the movie. And I agree, Matt, that the best episodes were the monster of the week ones. A couple of my favorite episodes, which haven't been mentioned yet, are Small Potatoes, the Eugene Tooms episodes, and the one where Mulder and Scully go to Georgia looking for a Nessie style monster (Don't know the episode name, sorry). Not to be a jerk, but I could've cared less about the tv show, and even less about the movie. |

I was a huge X-Files fan in the nineties and lost interest after season 7. I loved the first film and the second film is the movie I'm anticipating the most this summer (yes, more than Indiana Jones which is a close second) ![]() Cheers, Alan ![]() |

I believe that they should have quit after David Duchovney left the show. Nothing against Robert Patrick (who I really like) but the show just wasn't the same after that. |

Robert Patrick was pretty good, and he created a nice twist where he was now "Scully" and Scully had become "Mulder". When they brought in Annabeth Gish in the last season, though, that was a bit much for me. Another good episode was called, I think, Hollywood A.D. It was the one where Garry Shandling and Tea Leoni were playing M and S in a movie based on them. Thad |
