And I'm ready to kill someone. This has been the worst 24 hours since last week! ![]() I'm going back for my booster early (I'm not supposed to go until Friday). I called Tim (the laser guy) and asked him if I could come in tonight. I'm not giving in to this. I won't have a cigarette - not even a drag off of hubby's. Last night I was ready to jump off the roof!!! There was an open pack of cigarettes on the kitchen table but I didn't touch them, didn't even look at them. I ate 1/2 a pint of vanilla ice cream instead. I was just OK this morning but now I'm back to where I was last night. I. Hate. This!!!!! I wish I had never started! ![]() |

Nanci, go out to a gym and dish out some good ones on a boxing bag. Got at it until you can't hit anymore. Then, go home and take a nice hot bath. You will be so tired, that you will fall asleep soon after that. Tommorrow is another day, and they do get brighter with time... |

Come on Nanci... hang in there! You're almost through the worst part. This is a normal reaction when you quit. Day 9 and 10 were the worst for me. I started feeling a little better after day 10 and then it got a little better each day after that. If Ben & Jerry's helps... pig out. Don't worry about the weight gain either. I gained 7 pounds when I quit and that's a lot healthier for me than smoke. I have since gone back to my normal weight. What HHf suggested helps as well. I worked out and walked constantly while I was quitting. It really will help you get over the rough patches. Remember, this is your life you're saving. Someday (in about 5 weeks) you'll look back on this time and be so glad you stuck it out. You'll be so proud of yourself as well. We're all pulling for you. Remember, one minute at a time... You can do it! |

Bubble baths are good too. Light some incense or scented candles, grab a good book and soak in a hot bubble bath. I used to do this for hours. And just wait until your sense of smell and taste buds are back to normal. You're in for a treat. ![]() |

Yes, it's horror, Nanci, true horror. Hang in there. I think Stephen King said when he quit he got massive headaches and he almost hallucinated. When I quit I laid in bed and shot spitballs at the ceiling until I lost count of them. ![]() |

I got horrible muscle cramps and hallucinated. I thought I saw baby dinosaurs. Just remember Nanci... when you wake tomorrow morning you want to be on day ten, not back to day one. We're all pulling for you friend! |
