So what was the general consensus from the board on Dark Hollow? I haven't read it yet but I lent it to my Dad who said it was crap. |

I really liked it. Story was a bit far-fetched, but it's horror so... It probably won't be for everyone, but I've really, really enjoyed everything I've read by Keene. If he has a new one out, I pick it up, no questions asked (well, if it's a mmpb, that is. I'm not made of money!). |

I thought it was good too, but I agreed with Steve's review from a few months back. It might have been the weakest link of the bunch, but you still can't go wrong with the Keene Myster. |

Didn't Dark Hollow win a Stoker Award? |

I really liked Dark Hollow as well. HHF, I'm not sure I'd start with Darkest Evening of the Year if you're trying to get into Koontz. |

Dark Hollow is my favourite Keene novel so far. I may be in a minority but I found The Rising and City of the Dead to be his weakest and not only that, I found them to be the weakest zombie novels I've read so far. Dark Hollow suprised me though. I enjoyed it from start to finish, even if the characters all seemed to come directly from the Steven King book of cliches. ie salt of the earth blue collar guys with a rough appearance but a heart of gold. |
