I've read a lot of Wrath's work. He's hardcore. Think nasty and then wrap it in barbed wire and dip it in iodine for a while. We're talking distilled pain. This ain't yo' granpappy's horror writer, you bet. Great to hear. |

I have never read anything by this author, but if he is extreme, I can see myself becoming a fan very quickly. It is good to get a Leisure book with some meat around the bones. The werewolf run has been a little disappointing, but the other books this year have been good. |

Wrath can be very extreme at times, but he is a very slick writer and can pull it off. Yes, Ed Lee would be a good comparison as they have collaborated before, but his writing has a different feel to me than Ed's. I personally like both, but that's just me. One thing is for sure, Leisure is taking a definite step outside the box this year from last. Will be interesting to see how the new look plays out with fans. Gord |

Never read his stuff, Gord, but you just made me want to. I love the extreme horror. Stuff like that sticks with you long after the book is done. |

I think a lot of you will like Wrath and his writing. If any of you want a place to start with his stuff, you might try pick up NIGHT OF 1000 SINS (a short story collection), POISONING EROS (extreme novella with Monica O'Rourke), HIS PAIN (Delirium Books), or more recently, his collaboration with J.F. Agreed. OFF SEASON is a great novel. It is good to hear that the April's releases are being mailed out. I have to hurry up and still ready HOUSE OF BLOOD before following it up with QUEEN OF BLOOD. It seems like April is shaping up to be a Bryan Smith month...

I've started House of Blood twice but couldn't really get into it. I think I read about forty pages the first time and maybe sixty the second. I think I felt like he was telling too much instead of showing. Should I try it again? Is the third time the charm? |
