Just saw it for the first time tonight. I liked Planet Terror (zombies, what can I say...), and the action scenes were pretty good in Death Proof, but I really can't stand Quentin Tarantino's movies. Talk talk talk talk talk. Brutal. Rodriquez should have directed both. |

RESERVOIR DOGS was Tarantino's best movie. In many ways he reminds me of Orson Wells. Brilliant... but reached the pinnacle too soon. |

I saw them also for the first time in the last couple of days. I loved Planet Terror but thought Death Proof was just o.k. I am a huge fan of From Dusk To Dawn, Pulp Fiction, Desperado, and Pulp Fiction from these guys. Sign me up for what ever they release. Tt |

I liked Pulp Fiction, too. But now everything he does feels like a retread. |

Yeah I feel the same about Death Proof. A lot of people walked out of the theater halfway through. Planet Terror was just a hell of a lot of fun all around. Those little faux-trailers in between were hilarious too. I'd like to see a full length movie of Thanksgiving, hehe.. |

I think they should think about doing more of these cheesy drive-in style movies just like the mini trailers they showed. I'd totally go see Thanksgiving. That would be an awesome flick. |

Ender, the trailer for Machette was halarious!! It was so bad and violent it was great! And HHF, how the hell did you remember I really liked UMA? I might have said that once a while ago, and you remembered it! I'm impressed. I think she is one of the best looking actresses working today. Halle Barry comes in a close second. I loved Kill Bill, both volumes. I could watch those once a month they are so good. I'm embrarresed I left it off my list up above. And Ender, does your handle have anything to do with Card's books and his boy hero named Ender? ttzuma |

Gosh no, I hadn't heard about the animated movie. Sounds kinda neat though. I've only read the first one, but we have some members who've read a bunch of em. I do plan on picking up Speaker For The Dead when my tbr pile goes down a bit. Tt |

Perhaps just Horrordude, or HD would work? ![]() |

Here we are coming and telling this guy his name is too long to type! Forgive us, but we do have a habbit of shortening peoples handles when we type responses to them. It does cut down on the typing. If you don't mind I'll most likely use Horrordude instead of HD, only because we may have another member from "the place we do not name" coming over later who goes by HK. It could get confusing. Please don't hate us for being brief, to the point, shy, foolish, rich, goodlooking, smart, and being liars and exaggerators (and I will have to add...bad speller in my case). Thanks Horrordude. Tt |

I think Robert Rodriguez directed a short section of the film. The joke was that he was paid $2. QT would later direct a short section of a Robert Rodriguez movie for $2. Kill Bill was an homage to the different genres from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Spaghetti westerns (very little dialog), samurai movies, Hong Kong martial arts movies, revenge films. As for Grindhouse, I liked both movies. I thought they worked better because of the different styles. And as for the Machete preview, it will be made into a movie. |
