I wrote an article for the new Vintage Horror site about the old tradition of telling ghost stories at Christmas time (It can be found at ). I was curious what sort of odd Christmas traditions any of you out there might have. My family does a couple.
1- We put a rubber chicken in the tree. It really irritates my wife but it's sort of a gag that has carried on from year to year (this year he's in a Santa suit).
2- We make elaberate gag gifts for our friends. They always take a lot of work but are fun to do. One year we made a spoof film biography of one friend where we took clips from other videos and photographs and voiced over them to create a fake history for him. Last year we made a trivia board game with 150 questions, all of which related to them or us in some funny way.
So, does anyone else have any unusual Christmas traditions?
