January 1, 2008 will be the start for a new quarterly PDF magazine. Noctem Aeternus will feature high-quality horror fiction, reviews, interviews, etc. The first issue will feature an original tale (and interview) from legendary writer Ramsey Campbell. We will list additional writers, artists, and contributors on our webpage as we sign them. Go ahead and subscribe now. It’s FREE! And we will never share your email address. Submissions will open June 1, 2007 DO NOT SUBMIT BEFORE THIS DATE. • Editor: Michael Knost • Format: FREE Quarterly PDF • Payment: Ten-cents per word on publication • Reprints: NO • Story length: Up to 4000 words (do not query about longer stories) • Multiple submissions: NO • Simultaneous submissions: NO • Reading period: Open year-round • Email submissions only. We will accept .doc or .rtf attachments ONLY. Do not copy and paste story into the body of your email—use this for your cover page. • Send submissions or inquiries to submissions@michaelknost.com • Turnaround time should be six to eight weeks. If you have not received a response after eight weeks, send an inquiry…but only AFTER eight weeks have passed since original submission. WHAT WE WANT: We are looking for horror stories with a solid plot, strong character development, and attention to detail. Stories should also grab the reader’s attention quickly and hold it until the end. Although a good story can include gore, we don’t want gore for gore’s sake. We are looking for great horror stories. Stories can be about monsters, the paranormal, serial killers, or anything else that evokes fear. Science fiction, mystery, western, or fantasy elements are acceptable, however, there should be no doubt the story is horror. WHAT WE DO NOT WANT: We do not want to see anything involving child abuse, pedophilia, or the like. Stories with vampires, werewolves, or other clichéd horror topics will be a hard sell. However, if you think you have a tale that brings something original to a clichéd topic, then send it along—just keep in mind, it will have a slim chance. We do not want to see stories with spelling and grammar problems. If you think it is the editor’s job to clean up your mess, this publication is not for you. Visit for manuscript format. |

I joined today but I was uncomfortable with my E-mail address being displayed so I clicked the option to hide it from the moderators. That removed it from being veiwable, which is what I want but will I still be able to recieve your magazine? |

Looks pretty cool!  I'm reading Ramsey Campbell's new book, The Grin of the Dark, right now. It is very good, I'm having a hard trouble putting it down! I try to read any interview with him that I can find, so I'm looking forward to your magazine.
