Yes, there are things under my bed but they're more scared of me than I am of them. ![]() My phobias and horror caused habits... lessee... When I work at night, I will not listen to any music that sounds like old horror movies - the howling winds around the houses is enough to make me freeze and listen to each single crack or whistle. Paranoia is my name... And along those lines... I won't sleep in a place where I A. can't see the door and the windows easily or B. have a fast way out. |

I can't think of any related to horror fiction or horror movies. If anything I may be more drawn to places that remind me of that stuff. You know, absorbe the atmosphere and all of that. In fact, I would love to sleep in a reputedly haunted house sometime, just to see if anything happens. My wife does not share my interest however. That's why she plans the vacations I guess. That's not to say I don't have any phobias, I do, they just don't have anything to do with horror (heights and stuff like that). |

Nuns, its wasn't a horror movie, but a detective series where crooks were hiding out in a convent. One of them was disguised as the ghost of a disfigured nun to keep people away. ( A bit too much like Scooby Doo now that I think about it). But ever since then I have a paralyzing fear of nuns. |

Thanks to Ketchum's Off Season (an awesome book, by the way), I'll never rent a secluded house or a cabin in the woods ![]() |

We're play testing Farath this summer at a cabin in the woods. They all keep teasing me...the brats. That sounds like fun though - going to hang out and do a campfire thing? |

Yeah, we're renting a chalet, going to do some canoeing, hiking and geocaching. Some good freinds of ours are going with us. My freind and I both like to write, so we each write a story at Halloween and whenever we go on vaction together, so I'm going to have to start writing that soon. I probably won't be able to tell any scary stories around the fire though, as my wife and his wife won't want us scaring the kids. I have a stepson, he's 11, but he isn't the big fan of horror that I was at his age. |

Phobias are a highly personal thing. Don't even get me started on lima beans. |

Lima beans! Eeek! It's that light greenish sometimes yellowish color isn't it? *brings out sunglasses to ward off the yellows* |

I think my problem with lima beans is that they seem to be the larval form of something. Same goes for brussel sprouts. In fact, it's probably safest to avoid vegetables altogether. Speaking of which, I just heard the other day that there's a sequel to Day of the Triffids called (what else?) Night of the Triffids ... but it was written by Simon Clark (BBC writer?), not John Wyndham. Anybody familiar with this? |

I now absolutely refuse to go spelunking into unmapped caves inhabited by weirdly-evolved bat people. The problem, of course, is knowing they're in there beforehand. |
