I just received the signature sheets for the numbered hardcover edition of my novel, so I guess this is really happening. Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered a copy. The hardcover will have two additional stories: the original "Up In The Boneyard" from SHIVERS IV, plus a second new bonus novelette in the same 'universe' as the novel. The trade paperback will have the short story, but not the novelette. . More than one reviewer who is doing a write-up told me they had never encountered anything like the Boneyard (and what lives there) in any horror novel they ever read; I hope that's a good thing! Wonderful cover and interior illustrations by the amazing Steve Gilberts as well!! ![]() |

The novel is referred to as your debut in the Horror World review. Is that an error? I read your book The Bone Worms. Is this the same novel? |

Yep, sorta. Thanks for asking Chris. As I have taken great pains to explain in several venues, and am glad for the opportunity to do so again here: The ebook published by CD in 2011 needed work. When Bad Moon Books offered to do the print-publication version, I was given the welcome opportunity to fix what was wrong in the ebook, add some necessary scenes, even add a new chapter, ending up with about a 20 percent re-write, and a much better novel. I was also able to write a new 15,000 word coda to the novel, a story called "Close The Door" which follows Detective Lomax into his retirement, and what happens when he visits his daughter and his new baby grandson in a place in upstate New York that is ... much too high. So yeah, you will find much of what you first saw in the 2011 ebook, but you will also see a bit more. Hence the decision to give the overall umbrella title to the book: "The Boneyard." |
