Hey, folks, I thought I'd start a thread to introduce myself. Besides, as nice as Ed Lee is, I don't want to wear out my welcome by continuing a thread in his forum. My name is Brett Williams. Surely, some of you may know me as the guy who wrote FAMILY BUSINESS, the puppy mill / hardcore horror novel I sold direct to collectors and readers alike back in The Haunt days. Remember Shane Staley's Haunt? Maybe not, but that's where it all started for me. Jack Staynes, a huge proponent of FAMILY BUSINESS, took it upon himself (time and again) to help raise awareness of my novel, and I must say Ed Lee is a good sport for allowing the thread to grow in his forum. Thanks, man. Without Ed Lee, Richard Laymon, and Jack Ketchum, FAMILY BUSINESS would cease to exist. But I digress... Gallows Press has since reprinted FAMILY BUSINESS. Between Gallows Press and Comet Press, I have I nice assortment of fun fiction for folks. My shorter work has appeared in various anthologies. I've even wandered outside the horror genre with such stories as "Shackjob", my tribute to Charles Bukowski. Anyway, if you're wondering who the hell this Brett Williams fella is, well, perhaps some people who know who I am might chime in here. Perhaps if this thread sees enough activity, well, we can get our own area to discuss my current work in progress, an epic tie-in novel for what I'm calling my Breeder Series, which of course includes FAMILY BUSINESS. Or we can talk about the women in FAMILY BUSINESS, HIGH OCTANE DAMNATION, or THIRD EYE HIGH. Whatever you like. |

Holy crap, that last post of mine should have read LUCIFER'S CHILDREN, which I should have finished in a day or two. Anyhoo... I'd like to announce that Comet Press and their imprint SeX-Files will be releasing FAMILY BUSINESS and CLUB NADIR in digital format. That's right, FAMILY BUSINESS will be available in digital soon. Stay tuned for details. Smiley |
