It's that time again. Give me your lists so I can pad my TBR pile.

Where's your list Tony?

I will have it soon. I have two more books to read before the end of the year and the one I'm reading now just might make the list. Hint, it's a new Rick Hautala novel.

1. Breed: Chase Novak - I really don't understand why this one hasn't resonated more with horror readers. It was on Stephen King's 2012 list and this book about two kids whose parents are turning into werewolves was the most fun I had reading a book this year. Thrills, humour, scares and genuine emotional weight makes this my pick for 2013.

2. The Good Son: Michael Gruber - A compelling analysis of politics, religious fanaticism and America's adventures abroad wrapped around a thrilling action movie of a novel. Entertaining and illuminating.

3. Doctor Sleep: Stephen King
4. NOS4A2 - Joe Hill
5. Cataract City - Craig Davidson
6. Raylan - Elmore Leonard
7. The Summer I Died / Born to Bleed - Ryan C. Thomas
8. Bobcat and othe stories - Rebecca Lee
9. Last Call for the Living - Peter Farris
10. The Shining Girls - Lauren Beukes

This list is pretty much impossible for me this year, as I can't even remember what books I read for the first 6 months of the year (although it wasn't very many). So I'll stick to the last 10 that I know I read, because really, you can't go wrong with these - assuming you read the prior novels first, of course.

Harbingers by F. Paul Wilson
Bloodline by F. Paul Wilson
By the Sword by F. Paul Wilson
Ground Zero by F. Paul Wilson
The Touch by F. Paul Wilson
The Peabody-Ozymandias Traveling Circus & Oddity Emporium by F. Paul Wilson
Reprisal by F. Paul Wilson
Fatal Error by F. Paul Wilson
The Dark at the End by F. Paul Wilson
Nightworld by F. Paul Wilson

4. The Elementals - Michael McDowell
5. The Divinity Student - Michael Cisco
6. Heart Shaped Box - Joe Hill
7. The First Bird: Omnibus edition - Greig Beck
8. Swan Song - Robert McCammon
9. The Croning - Laird Barron
10. The Hoard - Alan Ryker

I'm readying my petition to the government of Zuma for book subsidies because Tony is going to make me go broke trying to read some of these.

Ha! The vast majority of these were e-books Thad. Though I did purchase some paper ones at the cons I attended last year. I rarely buy paper books from Amazon anymore. I know you swear against e-books, but there are some great deals to be had.
