Link here: I remember the case. A girl found in a downtown LA hotel water tank, having drowned there a FORTNIGHT earlier. People complaining about the water. (Can you imagine? Brushing your teeth, taking a shower?) The video shows her behavior in the lift, allegedly before she climbed onto the roof. Lacking context and with no sound it's spooky as hell. Awful thing to happen. Poor girl. The hotel (the Cecil) also has Richard Ramirez connections. Downtown LA is an odd place. It's had some incredible highs and lows in a very short space of time, lots of grand palaces rotting and being reinvented and renovated. Lots of layers, rich and poor, tall shiny buildings and folk in business clothes, and not too far away, crumbling wrecks (buildings and humanity) and skid row. You have to be on your toes when looking around. |
