I've seen The Last Policeman at Barnes and Noble and thought it sounded really interesting. |

Some really interesting looking suggestions there, most of which are new to me. The only two I've read are the Simmons and the Sarah Waters one (the latter especially is excellent). Anyone read any of the others? |

I've read The Demonologist which was very creepy and I've read Blood Meridian which I don't really consider creepy but disturbing and violent in a poetic, almost hallucinatory manner. I would recommend both. I have The Last Policeman at home but have yet to read it. I have few more books to add to my TBR pile now. |
