Very nice, Rob. I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again. All cross-sections of the genre should exist together, which makes the disdain for your work baffling. If I want to read something relatively straightforward and light, I know where to go. If I want something deeper and more challenging, again I know where to go. If you don't want to read something, then don't. If you don't like something you're reading, then put the book down and move on. Constructive criticism is always welcome. It's too hard to read in front of the tv isn't. Oh, and that bit about The Streets? Oh, hell yes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Would I be correct in guessing that seriousness of intent also covers whether someone is writing a book strictly for entertainment purposes versus someone writing a book to make the reader think and contemplate and maybe play with the reader's perceptions of the story? |

How the fuck did I wind up on this board? Nanci Kalanta? I'm confused. I was looking up drunk-midget-gangbangs and I get this Horror World thing. ![]() (Hey, Rob, I have a nuclear rocket in my pocket, and it went off when I was in Amsterdam these last few weeks.) I made the mistake of having the mushroom tea they serve at this one hash bar. I hallucinated Ttzuma and John Saul dancing to Norwegian Wood. It was the worst trip I've ever had. ![]() |
