There are a few sequences that'll upset the realists (oh, come on, you can't do that. You see that? No one can do that!) And there are one or two plot gaps where they've thought screw it, and speeded it up and cranked up the music, hoping we won't notice. And you know what? It works. Fucking awesome. A gazillion wriggly things out of a gazillion..

I agree, there were quite a few plot holes, and a few times in the beginning where I cringed a bit, but overall, it was such a fun movie that those problems didn't really bug me that much. I look forward to seeing it again soon! Hunter |

I loved it. I went into the first reboot really skeptical, and came out smiling. This time, I expected to come out smiling -- and wasn't let down. Yeah, you can nitpick it. Yeah, some people will be insulted at the "switched dialogue" (which I thought was cool - because with the first movie, they changed history so now they can do virtually anything with the subsequent films because nothing SHOULD be exactly the same...) And to make it even better, William Shatner was there at the theater introducing it... so I actually paid $$ to have a picture with him. I never do that with celebrity things (the only other one I've "paid" to meet was John Carpenter). But... I've been watching the original Trek for 40 years now... I had to do it.
