Dark Window Films have decided to go into production with a low budget version of my screenplay for "The Amulet" this year, while hoping to get funding along the way to increase the budget (and the FX)
Luckily there are no big sets required beyond city streets and offices. I purposefully wrote the screenplay so that it could be shot cheaply. It differs from the book in several parts, but all the main scenes are in there.
I'm really looking forward to what they do with this.
They're turning Derek Adams into an Irishman, but he'll still be a drinker, a smoker and a warrior for truth and light
The actor they've got to play Derek looks suitably celtic and rugged.
