Pod of Horror is back with over two hours of ghastly goodness. On episode #63, we talk books with Necon’s Bob Booth and Matt Bechtel, author/actor Michael Boatman, Pod of Horror co-founder David T. Wilbanks, and Cutting Block Press’s R. J. Cavender. Nanci has the news, Jason L. Keene critiques the movies and we introduce our new book review segment, Scary Words. We’re also giving away a bunch of great books in The Tomb of Trivia. Get it at iTunes or download it at . Pod of Horror is hosted and produced by Mark Justice.

Great show! When Jason commented on the movie Razorback, it reminded me of when I first saw it. It was when Joe Bob Briggs was hosting a drive-in type show on The Movie Channel.

Are all the shows this year going to be that long, or was this an "extra special episode?"

I think it all depends on who is a guest. POH 62, with F. Paul Wilson and David Morrell, was nice because those were really interesting and informative interviews. I could listen to two or three of those a show.

But I liked this one as well because we got to hear from some publishers. And I'm interested in what Don D'Auria will have to say in the next show. I guess what I'm trying to say is if there's a good mix of guests, I don't care how long the show is.

I like the shorter, one hour version. I have to listen to it on my computer and to sit that long and listen becomes uncomfortable after a while.

I wonder if this could be burned to a c.d.? I have a Mac and I'm not sure how I would do that.

Thanks Mark for asking!

Tt

I like longer shows. Listen to them as I clean my apartment and stuff. :)

Great show Mark, Nanci and Jason!

Nanci, the new things coming to Horrorworld sound very cool. I look forward to checking them out.

Jason, I bet it's a blast to watch movies with you. I really enjoy your segment. Your unique insight on the films you review is always a lot of fun.

Mark, I enjoyed the new Scary Words reviews. Good, concise and honest. Great stuff!

I'm definitely going to want to check out those Necon e-books now that I have a Kindle.

I always love hearing things from an editors point of view, so the R.J. Cavender interview was much appreciated.

Most of all, it was fantastic to hear David T. Wilbanks back on POH!! Great interview!!

Thanks for the awesome podcast!! :v

I've missed PoH but #63 came back with a very entertaining K-POW!

Great to hear the old back and forth banter with Palanta, I almost lost a mouthful of coffee when you mentioned synchronising menstrual cycles! Are you after the shock jock crown? :D

Maybe we can look forward to a menstrual cycle race between you two, though on radio I guess wouldn't be as effective. :?

As for length of show, I'd like to see a marathon episode broadcast live - just to see how long you could last, and to the levels of deviancy we could all marvel at.

Top show, looking forward to #64.

Steve.

Hey Craig.

How is Valley of the Scarecrow? I've never tried Rollo's fiction and I'm wondering if this is a good place to start.

A great show, one of my favorites to date.

TMLCrow, RAZORBACK was one of my favs from childhood. Sadly, it's hard to find a physical copy now. Joe Bob was most definitely a king and inspiration. I enjoy knowing a bit of a movie's back story, and he was one of the first to give those snippets.

Matt, my wife refuses to watch movies with me. Between the MST3k treatment I give 'em, jotting down notes, and calling "BS!" during crucial scenes, she just takes it to another room. I still want to have a big cheese movie marathon in my hotel room at a con soon. Invited. BYOB.

Mark, I have two paperback copies of Gord's work: JIGSAW MAN and STRANGE MAGIC. I'd be happy to send 'em your way. Still owe you a dinner and some beers, anyway. Call me when you're free, big boy. ;)

Here's to plenty more fun to come w/ POH!

Jason,

Thanks for the book offer, but I have both of 'em. I am interested in dinner and beer, though. :v
