My poor neglected board.

OK, so for anyone that actually cares:

I went to Killercon in 2009. Las Vegas! Hotter than hell in the summer but had a great time and finally got to meet B.L. Morgan. I'm a HUGE fan of his John Dark series and we've talked via the internet before. Getting to meet him and his amazing wife was the highlight of the trip, but we met so many wonderful people!

I am 52,000 words into my new novel, with two short stories finished and another novel started. I think I am going to bit the bullet and actually submit to an agent. Small press is terrific but I think I will try swimming in the big pond, with one leg still in the smaller pond ;)

So that is a tiny condensed nutshell of what I have been up to.

Sounds like you had a great time!

And good luck with the agent. There is another author here who also just got an agent and he seems to be very excited, and there's another one who's looking also.

Any hints as to the new novel? Is it scary? Any sex scenes (not that I care much about that)? How about the short stories. We need more info!!!!!!

lol-- actually there are sex scenes in the new one! However, they are the murderous kind. :D It is a thriller and hopefully very very scary! I'll let you be the judge when it (finally) comes out. ;)

And the scary news I got is that my publisher no longer wants to publish do to a successful personal life. :D So I have to get off my duff and find a home for my first two novels, which isn't easy because they are dark fantasy and short story collections that follow two main characters. Not an easy sell. Not at all. Damn it.

Well, the small press seems to be thriving Jennifer. Not so much mass market horror. There seems to be quite of bit of new horror coming out, so I bet your chances will be good.

Sadly, no. I've been out of the loop for awhile, ever since the ChillerTV boards went into the toilet. If you or anybody else knows of a good one, dont hold back! Let us all know! :D
