Has anybody heard of anything actually helpful when dealing with ebook piracy? Gordon Van Gelder alerted me to this. The site is giving away copies of at least one of my books as well as quite a few others.

Thanks, Nanci. Yes, these jerks are in the Netherlands. I've sent them a nasty note, asked Leisure to send a cease and desist letter, and reported them to FaceBook and Twitter in hopes of getting their accounts shut down. This morning, two more pirate site cropped up, both offering the same "free" ebook of mine. Apparently, I've been discovered.

Not much you can do except complain. Some writers think of it as free publicity. My novel, Michael In Hell, turns up on all kinds of pirate sites and has been for the past seven years or so. I don't know why since I'm no very well known. Outside the United States, there isn't much American authors can do.

Actually, the experience of having my work pirated isn't that different from being published by some of the companies I've worked with.

All I know is, that if John Saul ever starts to get ripped off, they need only look as far as Ttzuma's house.
