Feel free to blab any spoilers at all about Graverobbers Wanted (No Experience Necessary)!

One of the scenes that most people single out as a favorite is when Roger is strapped into the Dismemberment Game. To figure out how the blades could collide with each other and avoid chopping Roger into chunks, I blocked out the scene with a Spider-Man action figure standing in as Roger and several ink pens functioning as the blades. It took quite a while to work it out, and I still think I screwed it up.

There was an extra twist when Andrew shows up at the house of the Ghoulish Delights customer and confronts him about his snuff film order: Originally the guy pretended to be devastated over the idea of his family discovering his secret, but when Andrew stopped him from slitting his wrists, the guy laughed and revealed that he was working for the bad guys. It was kind of dumb, and definitely one twist too many. I rewrote the scene and played it straight, and it worked MUCH better.

I still think the fact that the skull puppets, Gaggles and Boo-Boo, are actually delivering a message in Morse Code is pretty damn cool.[/i]

still my favorite Strand novel. I still think the "Saw" movies were loosely based on this book

I very, VERY seriously doubt that the makers of SAW read my book. But it does kinda suck that if Graverobbers ever gets made into a movie, people will say it was inspired by SAW!
