Thanks, Matt. I have to update my blog. Thursday and Friday showed very little progress, owing to limited writing time. I've made a good start this morning, and I'll hit it again after work. As I mentioned at the very beginning, I don't work a traditional 9-5 job. It's different every day so I have to squeeze in writing when I can. I may not hit 50 K by the end of the month but I'm going to give it that old college try. Then, hopefully, I'll have a first draft done by Christmas. It's been interesting, so far as the story has developed in areas I didn't expect. Is anyone else writing something now? If so, how's it going? And here's another question for the writers: if you have given up on a project, why? I realize as well as anyone how there are so many reasons you can find to give up. Sometimes it feels to me like trying to climb out of a deep well. |

I'm trying to write a Christmas horror story. I've wanted to de one for a few years but I finally have an idea for one. Also looking forward to contributing to the Justice and Wilbanks Christmas story soon. I've been doing some research for another blog article at the Vintage Horror site. I also am trying to brush up the couple of stories I sent out that were rejected, so that I can send them out again. I did stop work on the NaNoWriMo project from a couple of years ago because I want to focus on short stories rather than novels. I just think I have a much better chance at getting a short story published than a novel. |
