I just found out, via email, that I've been offered a blogging job by 451 Press. This is based off of writing samples and looking at all my blogspot sites. Yes, I'm going to be paid to blog, specifically, to blog about Matt Groening and The Simpsons in particular. (which may mean having to read and buy Bongo Comics). The tax forms haven't been filled out as much, and the blog is not in existence yet, but I'm hyped. The way I understand the pay is this: 40% of advertising revenue generated. Doesn't sound like much, but I also applied to blog for About.com, and they have pretty much the same set up. All I have to do is take care of the content.
If y'all are interested, I'll post an update as it develops. Getting started is going to be slow because of my surgery next week...but we'll see.
