Learned today that Arrow Video will be releasing special edition BluRays in Sept of Deranged, Squirm, and Last American Virgin in the UK. Times like these make me extremely glad I have a region-free player. Between them and Scream Factory/Shout, it's going to be a very expensive year for me. Ryan H. |

I'm also extremely fond of Second Sight, another great UK distributor. They have Andrzej Żuławski's POSSESSION, Cronenberg's THE BROOD, a remastered BD of Gordon's RE-ANIMATOR (the Image BD is a fucking joke, picture quality wise) as well as Brian Yuzna's BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR and SOCIETY coming up. |

Wow..been looking for a copy of Deranged for years. All I have is that crappy midnight movies release. There was a really good on released in Europe somewhere years ago. The 30th anniversary collectors edition, but it goes for a big chunk of coin where every you can find it... Few and far between at this point. I'm still waiting as well for a decent release of Motel Hell |

I have that Deranged DVD. It was uncut, but the eyeball scooping scene was noticeably degraded, which was frustrating because a documentary on the DVD showed the scene in a much better print. Very excited about the BluRay. Arrow is also doing Motel Hell this year, if you didn't know. I pre-ordered Deranged, Squirm, and Last American Virgin today. Good prices at Amazon.Uk. Ryan H. |

Deadly... Thanks Ryan, I hope their good releases, like the anchor bay day of the dead... I always hope for those for those handfull of movies that really hit that vein... Deranged Motel hell Texas Chainsaw 2 Chainsaw got a shitty shitty release, they gotta do that again, this time using the original cover art... So lame how these companies try to invent their own covers and throw the origional artwork away. There's a good European of TCM2 with the origional artwork I just found out about though so I'm looking at that... There's this other movie that was gong to be put out by grindhouse releasing before Sage Stallone died called SCUM OF THE EARTH...man, so badly I want to see this. It's on a something weird split with the defines, but again, I'd love for this to come out through grindhouse ... All their web site has said for years and years is coming soon ... |

That's funny that you mentioned Scum of the Earth just the other day and this news shows up yesterday: They're announcing later today that a previously released DVD will be upgraded to BluRay. Hoping like hell that it's Pieces... Ryan H. |
