I would love to read a novel by Edward about sexually agressive woman who torture man and ubuse them for their own pleasure. A female sexual predator who kills and ... for pleasure. Would love to read about it. Does anyone know if there are horrornovels around concerning this. PS : Edward all the best. |

Yeah, I'd have to agree with DecayedFace. 'Portrait' would be right up your alley. |

DGL: yes, your request is an accurate synopsis for Portrait of the Psychopath as a Young Woman, which I cowrote with Elizabeth Steffen. It's a pretty cool book I think. Best, Edward Lee |

I loved Portrait of a Psychopath as a Young Woman. It's a must read. And there's a chance I'll be reviving a "woman as the aggressor" story I abandoned back in 1998 or so for the next Deadite offering. We'll see. I feel almost obligated now. It was inspired by the Ilsa movies, and I had written Dyanne Thorne to tell her about that. Didn't hear anything back ... until about a month ago when a postcard from her showed up. Funny because I had been thinking about revisiting the story, so if I needed a sign, there it was. Haha Anyway, the characterization in Portrait... was especially great. That's what I remember about it most all these years later, although it certainly has the graphic sequences you would rightly expect from a book with the name Edward Lee on the cover. --Ryan H. |

Ilsa , that rings a bell from long time ago. Saw it when i was about 20 on a very bad tape. Now i have the dvd's. It's foul, certanely not erotic (2 much hair), but oh so wrong. They dont make movies like this anymore. Faster pussycat kill kill is also a favorte of mine. Like old movies. |

I saw Ilsa in the THEATER! That give you a clue how friggin' old I am. Virgin Witch, Mark of the Devil, Gore Gore Girls, even Night of the Living Dead--saw em all first at the theater! Oh, yes, and Psycho when I was about 6 because the greaser babysiter and his friends threw me in the back of his convertible with a bunch of his Rebel without a Cause-looking friends the minute my parents left for dinner. Saw that one at the Drive In! What wonderful days those were! Edward Lee |

This is how bizarre I am (did I mention this previously?): several months ago I bought not one but 2 plastic models of the Bates Mansion. I'm going to do one traditionally and the other I'm going to paint as though it is the Bates House in another dimension. I guess I need to get out more! Edward Lee |

It must have been awesome to see Dyanne Thorne in all her buxom slendor on the big screen. Sadly I missed out on so many killer movies like that. The drive-ins had pretty much stopped shortly after I would have been all over something like that. I have to hope for special screenings of movies of yore to get the chance to see them as intended. Got lucky a few years ago when they ran Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but they didn't revive that program the next summer. Ryan H. |
