I know Black train has been edited from Gast.
Are there any other books from Ed lee that have been edited ?
Maybe nice to have them both, see what has been changed.

I've thought of the same thing - good post. Anyone know of a similar instance?

THE BABY was edited for its original publication as a chapbook from Bloodletting Press. The uncut version is available in the collection BRAIN CHEESE BUFFET from Deadite Press.

Not really edited but there are two endings to The Bighead

I think the hard to track down/mega bucks Necro version is now on Kindle... I am not 100% about that.

and the short story ICU and the Blurred Room (in Carnal Surgery) are different so I have heard, only read the Blurred Room, which I thought was really good.

Are there any others?

I'm pretty sure Succubi had additional material in the hardcover version. Maybe Edward can confirm it next time he's here...

Not sure if censorship applies (hate that word), but the Preferred edition of The Bighead only has an ending chapter from the original Necro edition that takes it on a whole other angle...and The Black Train (Leisure edition of Gast) has some edits from the original and minor additions/changes to story that adds a slight new dimension (have both, but haven't read TBT yet). I had the pb original of Succubi and bought the hardcover years ago (don't have the pb any longer) and remember the opening Prologue to be very different from the recent version, which being my favorite Lee novel of all time, at the time I read it completely and totally blew me away.

I'd like to know, too, how different (if at all) the short stories, chapbook stuff, etc, is from the originals. I have most if not all of the chapbooks from Lee over the years, as well as most of the Deadite releases...

Yes, in Succubi, there was a specific Duke/Eric scene that I cut before turning the book in to Berkley. I loved it but I knew it would piss my editor off. So, yes, the Necro edition (and Polish edition, for that matter) both have it included. If I recall correctly, it in or close to the scene where Duke knocks over the convenience store.

PS--I'm sure I've mentioned this in the past, but the "Kohl's Point" scene in Bighead was originally in either Creekers or Sacrifice but my editor said it's gotta go. But I liked it so much I put it in BH.
