Hey Adam, if Gary doesn't answer you, you will find the answer in one of these threads here. He does discuss this. Happy Holidays by the way! ![]() |

Adam: No, there will not be a December release of A Cracked and Broken Path ... thanks to Jason Sizemore and the gang at APEX, it will be (fingers crossed) an October 2010 release. And this is going to be the big, semi-epic finish to this branch of the cycle, so be prepared. Much -- maybe even all -- shall be revealed. |

The wait will drive Gary's fans insane. In fact, I feel some twitches coming on... Will we be seeing any new Cedar Hill short stories between now and then? Tt |

Yes, you will; Maurice Broaddus's anthology Dark Faith will have a new Cedar Hill story, "For My Next Trick I'll Need A Volunteer." It features the Reverend and Detective Bill Emerson, and is -- believe it or not -- my take on A Christmas Carol. You stand warned. ![]() ![]() |

I should have added that Dark Faith comes out in April, so you won't have to wait too long. ![]() ![]() |

"For My Next Trick" was awesome, Gary, as is all your stuff. I came to your work late in the game and read them all out of order, so I've been re-reading them in anticipation of "A Cracked and Broken Path", and it just trumps anything else, even the second time around. And a 550-600 page Gary Braunbeck? For October? WOW. |

I've decided that in the month leading up to A Cracked And Broken Path I'm gonna re-read the Cedar Hill novels from Leisure, as well as In The Midnight Museum, to get everything fresh in my mind and see if I can pick up clues from them. |

Sorry, sorry, mea culpa, etc. I'm still re-working the structure of Path -- this has got to be perfect, and it's not quite there yet. With all the brouhaha that's been going on at Leisure since that boat began sinking ... well, let's just say that since all of my novels with them are now OOP, and no 2nd or 3rd printings are planned, that's given me a bit of ... let's call it "wiggle room" to make Path the book I've always envisioned. Trust me, this will all make sense when you see the novel. In the meantime, I can promise you this: I will be posting a preview of the novel either at the end of this year or New Year's Week of 2011. Jason will have the book soon after that, and the production turnaround time on this will make heads spin. I know I've kept you waiting a long time for this one, but Path will be something akin to a final statement on Cedar Hill, and I want it to go out on the highest note possible. |
