He died at 77 at his desk doing what he loved.

I've read Parker since his first - The Godwulf Manuscript. Learned a hell of a lot about dialogue from his work. A master and an old school writing man.

Sad to see him go.

It's been a while since I've read any Parker, but he was good. Pic's facebook post about it said that Parker could do 2-3 books a year and 5-10 pages a day. I wish he could've had a talk with some of these whiny writers today about work ethic.

I think he passed away at his desk while writing, literally.

No one wants to die, but I think every writer would prefer to go the way Parker did.
