The first actual review (and it's a keeper): "If you have not yet read anything by Robert Dunbar you are doing yourself a disservice. WOOD is his latest dark literary masterpiece and it shows what a master storyteller at the peak of his powers is capable of doing." ~ Famous Monsters of Filmland |

For another review of Wood, look no further than here in Horrorworld! Though the author of the review did make the link between Wood's plot points and Little Red Riding Hood while he was reading the tale, he did not mention it in the review (just thought I "wood" mention that here. ) http://horrorworld.org/hw/2012/03/wood/ |

Always lovely to hear this sort of thing. “Witty and even hilarious at times, with a hefty dose of creepiness … a downright joy to read.” ~ Nights & Weekends (Not sure I get the part about the curly fries though.) |

“Dunbar takes a traditional horror tale and turns it into something much deeper, using primal tropes instead of gore ... to create literate – and literal – chills.” |

“Dunbar actually sold his soul to the devil to be able to write books as good as this.” Always nice to turn up on a top five list. |
