Joseph Armstead
Dark fantasy/horror-suspense author Joseph Armstead's work is often described as "very cinematic and suspenseful" and "non-cliched". A published poet, Joseph's poetry is often a musically rythmic and hardcore journalistic mix, scarily sardonic, wherein interpretations of the world around him are snared in Time in a "snapshot" he shares with readers. Joseph's books are available through Barnesandnoble.com, Amazon.com and Borders.com Moderators: Nanci, HorrorWorld |

Jack Ketchum
Jack Ketchum is the pseudonym for a former actor, singer, teacher, literary agent, lumber salesman, and soda jerk–a former flower child and baby boomer who figures that in 1956 Elvis, dinosaurs and horror probably saved his life. His first novel, Off Season, prompted the Village Voice to publicly scold its publisher in print for publishing violent pornography. He personally disagrees but is perfectly happy to let you decide for yourself. His short story The Box won a 1994 Bram Stoker Award from the HWA, his story Gone won again in 2000 — and in 2003 he won Stokers for both best collection for Peaceable Kingdom and best long fiction for Closing Time. He has written over twenty novels and novellas, the latest of which are The Woman and I’m Not Sam, both written with director Lucky McKee. Five of his books have been filmed to date – The Girl Next Door, The Lost, Red, Offspring and The Woman, the last of which won him and McKee the Best Screenplay Award at the prestigious Sitges Film Festival in Spain. His stories are collected in The Exit At Toledo Blade Boulevard, Broken on the Wheel of Sex, Sleep Disorder (with Edward Lee), Peaceable Kingdom and Closing Time and Other Stories. His novella The Crossings was cited by Stephen King in his speech at the 2003 National Book Awards. In 2011 he was elected Grand Master by the World Horror Convention. Dennis Latham
Dennis Latham writes strange fiction (horror or comedy) and is a past active member of the HWA. He has been everything from a road band lead singer to a construction laborer, and has survived war and strange accidents, including a 100 foot fall on to rocks that should have killed him. This living on borrowed time attitude shows up in his writing, but his danger days are hopefully in the past. He still has breakfast weekly with childhood friends he has known for over fifty years, and he wants to spend his autumn years on an Alabama beach with his wife, in between hurricanes and oil spills. Clocktower Books in San Diego has published several of his books and stories in print and in e-book format (Michael In Hell and The Bad Season). Many of his stories and books are available as Nook books from B&N, and through YS Gazelle Books. He has also published hundreds of articles on combat PTSD and has several blogs and one alter ego, The King of Guilford. The script from his last novella, Bad Night In The Holding Cell, is being considered by several producers. He lives in a real haunted house in southern Indiana, where at any given time you may see ethereal people or creatures drift in and out of rooms or appear in the window glass. Firbolg Publishing
Firbolg Publishing is a unique publishing house located in the misty woods of Oregon. We believe that horror has a history and those master storytellers from the past live on! Gothic literature is horror of a different stripe. Seeped in creepy atmosphere, dark shadows, eerie tone, and sinister characters, writers like Poe, Le Fanu, James, Shelley and countless others paved the way for the darkness that scares us today. King's Way Press
King's Way Press is a small press devoted to publishing books that are fit for a king. My name is Zach Powell and I bring many years of bookstore management and book collecting to KWP. I have love for great books. With KWP I pledge to keep print runs low and production values high. Killer's Diary by Brian Pinkerton is just the start in a long line of quality, collectible publications from KWP. Our first book sold out in 3 days and we hope to have the same success with all of our titles. Moderators: Nanci, HorrorWorld |

Necessary Evil Press
Established in 2003, Necessary Evil Press has rapidly become a serious contender in the world of specialty press publishing. While the press was still in its infancy, two NEP titles were nominated for the prestigious Bram Stoker Award, and one of them, The Turtle Boy, ultimately went on to receive this great honor. Every year since, our books have appeared in various Year's Best lists and appeared on many award ballots, culminating recently in a 2005 HWA Specialty Press award which cited the press' overall attention to excellence. Among the authors we have worked with are Tim Lebbon (The Assassin series, Berserk), Kealan Patrick Burke (The Turtle Boy), Gary Braunbeck (In the Midnight Museum), Brian Keene (Take the Long Way Home), Simon Clark (She Loves Monsters), and Michael McBride (Zero), almost all of which have sold out pre-publication. <BR><BR>
