I'd like to start this by saying I'm surprised there aren't more threads and messages here for Nate.

I just read The Reach and absolutely loved it. I haven't read Bloodstone yet, but if it is as good as this one, I would expect a large fan base for NK. I plan on picking up Bloodstone and the new novel in July.

Over the past year or two, I've read a lot of novels put out by Leisure Books and The Reach is my favorite so far. The characters are well-rounded, the plot is great*, and the prose is superb.

*My only grievance is that NK beat me to the punch. LOL. I have 3 novels (supernatural thrillers in the same vein as this novel) I'm trying to get out there and started one similar to The Reach back in November, then set it aside to write a different one. Now I have to rethink it. Thanks for telling me the story I wanted to write.

Hi Cal--thanks for the kind words, and I'm very glad you felt so strongly about THE REACH. It's my favorite thing I've ever written--but it only scratches the surface of the story I'd like to tell. I haven't yet begun writing the next novel to feature Jess Chambers and Sarah Voorsanger, but I have big plans for the story arc and I hope to get that novel out soon.

A close second favorite of mine is my SF novella PRIME, coming from Apex Books in July. I hope to announce some big news about that one soon!
