Steve,
I'm really excited that this could be the year that it gets published! I pre-ordered this book over 2 years ago. On CD's website they state that there will be 3 dozen+ contributers. I would really love to know who they are. I read somewhere that the signature sheets have all been returned. So could you shed some light on who signed for this book?

thanks, Tommy

Tommy, head over to RLK.cjb.net. I'm pretty sure in the news items a few years ago we listed the Table of Contents. If not, let me know and I'll have a dig around. ;)

Should be this year, for sure!

Hmmm, maybe we never released it until we had the final line-up. Let me dig around and see if I can find at least the fiction-side table of contents.

Please do I have also been waiting for this forever. I haven't been back to RLK in about 2 years though.

I hope that some progress has been made at least. I eagerly await this release.

All contracts were signed, as were the signature pages. I believe layout was underway... so we can't be far off its release by now!

Hi Steve

I notice that In Laymon's Terms now has a release date of 2010.When in 2010 CD does not say.

The message has been the same for almost 12 months now that the book is having a final edit then will be going to the printers.
Are you in the know ( as much as you can be I understand) when the book will be released? Have CD updated you?

thanks mate
Dave

Sorry Dave,

No update from CD to me in years. I'm only an editor on the project. ;)

The moment I get ANY news, I'll be letting people know. But currently you know as much as I do!

Sad, isn't it?

Time will tell.... hopefully by the 10th anniversary of Dick's death....

They owe us that, at least.

hi everyone

I have just this minute emailed Mindy Jarusek of CD Publications concerning the publishing date of this book.
It will be interesting to read her reply seeing she told me via email on the 20 dec 2008 that the book would be going to the printers in the "first or second month of the new year". I was also told on the 7 october 2008 by Brian Freeman that they (CD) needed Kelly Laymon's introduction then it will be ready to go to the printer

Of note CD have not updated the "forthcoming" since the 19 dec 2008

So we shall see I guess

Dave

Okay.I have been told that In Laymon Terms is ready to go to the printer along with another dozen.Unless I read this wrong which I do not think so.ILT is one of the dozen and that there are 10 books before this

I am starting to doubt whether they will EVER release this. I remember last year they had a big bitchfight on Shocklines, where a CD representative (no names) blamed Kelly Laymon for the holdup by stating that they had been waiting for her intro for ages...not true.
I am sooooo glad I never prepaid for this one through the publisher, as I believe CD will charge more for those who have already paid, claiming cost increases in the intervening years...YEARS! THis is just a joke as far as I am concerned...I'll buy it on the secondary market and save myself all that stress...
Can you spell PONZI???

To be fair Mindy offered my $$ back without my asking so that in itself is a good thing.
However when this book was first mentioned by CD the prices were:

trade - US$40
Limited - US$100
Lettered - US$300

sometime early last year the prices changed to:

Trade- US$50
Limited - US$150
Lettered - US$400

and I was never asked for the extra $US50 so I do not think CD would try that Geoff

We can only hope they're holding out for the 10th anniversary of Dick's passing.

Maybe the 25th anniversary, if we're lucky.
Dave. I know people who were billed for increases in postage on books that are late.
It's not the customers fault that they took years to be ready, so CD should foot the increase.
:p
