I'm banning all gmail and AOL registrations for the time being. The bulk (at least 90%) of the spam registrations that I have been receiving are coming from gmail/AOL accounts. Until I can find a workaround, please contact me if you have a gmail or an AOL account and want to register for the forums.

I have also had to ban other free email accounts. If you want to register for the boards and you get a message that says that your email address is disallowed, please contact me.

Me too. On the overnight I'll usually get 50-60 registrations that have to be reviewed and deleted and then another 25 or so throughout the course of the day. I spend way too much time cleaning them off the registration page since I have to keep the DB size under a certain level or the boards crash

Wow! That's really too much! Is there a way to just block the gmail spammers from registering without having to delete them?

That's why gmail registrations are currently banned. Big difference between Tuesday night and last night. Only 8 registrations vs. 55!
