Hey kids!
The first book I read in 2010 was Brian Keene's "Ghost Walk."

Liked it a lot, though not as much as some of Brian's other works. I enjoyed how it played off of "Dark Hollow" - though I wish it could have developed even more... if that makes sense.

What about you guys? What are you reading in the new year?

I'm reading a lot of the usual suspects. I have discovered a new author this year though that is very good, his name is Tim Curran and he is quite prolific. I think his book, Dead Sea is terrific and one of the best books I read all of last year.

Pic's "Shadow Season was very good, though not horror but noir, as was his novella "The Nobody", which was an outstanding read.

Wrath's "The Ressurectionist" was an excellent novel also.

J.F. Gonzalez's "Primitive" was very good.

Gary Braunbeck's "Far Dark Fields was a great read (as is all Braunbeck).

Gerard Houraner's "A Blood Of Killers" is a fantastic read and a real joy for those who have read his prior Max novels.

Those books sound great, TT. I've been meaning to check out J.F.'s work and will do it asap - and Curran sounds like someone I'll definitely have to read as well - (so many books so little time!).

I read Barker's "Sacrament" which was fantastic. I think this was the only Barker book I had left to read. Clive always manages to surprise me, and I love him for it.

I also picked up the HC version of Joe Hill's "Locke & Key: Welcome to Lovecraft" which is damned near one of the best GN collections I've read in some time.

All good stuff.
