No new posts Joseph Armstead

Dark fantasy/horror-suspense author Joseph Armstead's work is often described as "very cinematic and suspenseful" and "non-cliched". A published poet, Joseph's poetry is often a musically rythmic and hardcore journalistic mix, scarily sardonic, wherein interpretations of the world around him are snared in Time in a "snapshot" he shares with readers. Joseph's books are available through Barnesandnoble.com, Amazon.com and Borders.com

No new posts Scott F. Falkner

Though best known as a horror writer, self-described "speculative fiction" author Scott F. Falkner loves to mix up the genres. His debut offering, THE FEAST OF CATCHVILLE, a horror novella, broke the single month sales record for Stone Garden Publishing in 2006. In the same year, his first novel, SWAYBUCK, was the publisher's first ever hardcover release. With the Dark Fantasy DELVING trilogy hitting stores soon, a free, online, ongoing Space Opera serial now available, a Dark Fantasy Western in the works, and a slew of other paintings and stories in the wings, something "speculative" is always on the horizon.

No new posts P.S. Gifford

P.S. Gifford was born on April 28th 1965 in Birmingham, England. He, from a remarkably early age, discovered he was completely fascinated with the written word. By the age of nine he was devouring several books a week, and had more importantly begun to write. In the early 1980's he and his father relocated to the California coast, which he has cheerfully called home ever since. While in college, Paul wrote a few stories, but as he got older alas writing was relegated onto his hectic life's "back burner" and he barely wrote a word of fiction for over fifteen years. However, in 2004 all this was about to abruptly and delightfully change, as that was the year when he realized that despite a serene contented existence an important aspect in his life was missing: the written word. So, once more he began churning out in abundance short stories. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Since then he has written well over one hundred short stories and had numerous published. His first short story collection is about to be published "The Curious Accounts of the Imaginary Friend", and the sequel is due out next year.

P.S. Gifford lives in Lake Forest, California, he is married, has a son, two dogs, a rabbit and an endless dream...

Forthcoming books include the novel Hellboy: On Earth As It Is In Hell, to be released from Pocket Books in autumn 2005; a new collection contracted with CD Publications; and a lengthy novella he’s doing for Earthling Publications. He frequently wanders the hills around Boulder, Colorado, shoots photographs of green things and decaying things, and sequesters himself in a home studio emitting dark electronic music and other rude noises. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Robert R. McCammon, Harlan Ellison, Thomas Monteloene, Charles L. Grant, Joe R. Lansdale, F. "You write what you like, and I guess I've always had a fondness for the darker things in life."

Instead, try his novels, which include Dark Shadows: Dreams of the Dark (with Elizabeth Massie), Balak, and The Lebo Coven; or his anthologies Song of Cthulhu, Deathrealms, and Evermore (with James Robert Smith); or some of his 90-plus short stories, which can be found in trash cans everywhere. No new posts T. M. Wright

T.M. Wright says, “Without the dead, where would we writers be?” To large extent, that’s been the guiding theme of his literary output for the past nearly thirty years—beginning with his first novel, “Strange Seed (Everest House, 1978)”—on half a dozen “Best of the Genre” lists—and culminating 29 novels later, with “A Spider on my Tongue,” third in the “A Manhattan Ghost Story (TOR, 1984)”
universe, and “I am the Bird,” a novella being published by PS Publishing in the summer of 2006.

His other works include the recently released Cemetery Dance novella, “The Eyes of the Carp,” which a reviewer for Fangoria called, “The weirdest book I’ve ever reviewed,” “Sleepeasy,” (Victor Gollancz, 1993, Leisure, 2001), “The School (TOR Books, 1990): “This eerie novel maintains a mood as ominous as a low rumble of thunder. Highly recommended,” said Library Journal, and “Cold House (Catalyst Press, 2003), about which novelist Jack Ketchum wrote, “Cold House exemplifies what T.M. Wright is capable of when he’s working at his own singular level of full-tilt boogie—when Wright Gets It Exactly Right, so to speak—when the spell he casts is not just a spell but a goddamn net.”

No new posts Centipede Press

Centipede Press specializes in publishing out of print crime, horror, and science fiction classics. Designed with reinforced bindings, printed cloth covers, and sensitive typesetting, the books are meant to be read, not simply put on a shelf. We disdain metal 3D slipcases and other gimmicks. Instead, we invest our time in bonus short stories, artwork, author photographs, and new introductions. These features make our editions the most definitive of these classic novels published so far.
Tired of tiered editions? Most of our titles are available in one edition only. Frustrated by spending an extra $125 for bonus material that only appears in the ultra-expensive edition which says "only the wealthy are deemed worthy to read this?" You've come to the right place.

No new posts Necessary Evil Press

Established in 2003, Necessary Evil Press has rapidly become a serious contender in the world of specialty press publishing. While the press was still in its infancy, two NEP titles were nominated for the prestigious Bram Stoker Award, and one of them, The Turtle Boy, ultimately went on to receive this great honor. Every year since, our books have appeared in various Year's Best lists and appeared on many award ballots, culminating recently in a 2005 HWA Specialty Press award which cited the press' overall attention to excellence. Among the authors we have worked with are Tim Lebbon (The Assassin series, Berserk), Kealan Patrick Burke (The Turtle Boy), Gary Braunbeck (In the Midnight Museum), Brian Keene (Take the Long Way Home), Simon Clark (She Loves Monsters), and Michael McBride (Zero), almost all of which have sold out pre-publication.

Here at NEP we pride ourselves on selecting books based on the strength of story. The name of the author, while most certainly a consideration, is secondary to strong writing, credible characters, an engaging plot and scares aplenty. Backed up by high quality production values and eye-catching artwork, our releases are among the finest and most attractive books you'll find on the market, and we strive to improve with each and every one.
