I'm about to create a story board for Vampire 2, enabling me to look down on the whole thing at once, and see where I can punch up, pare down, fix tempo, scrub repetition, incorporate new insight, ideas and suggestions.

We took our dog to the vet today because she is bloated and walking like she doesn't feel well. Turns out she has a huge growth in her abdomin that is pushing her organs around. They have done blood tests which we will get the results of tomorrow but the vet doesn't think it looks good. Bird is 11 and this sucks.
We are at 550 dollars now for this visit. The money doesn't really matter if we can fix her or even if we can't fix her I just want my doggie back to normal.

On a scale of one to ten on how bad this day sucked it has to be close to a ten. The vet calls up and tells me he thinks the dog is bleeding internally and gives me three options.
Ultrasound for 500 just to see what he can see then for us to decide what to do
Surgery after the ultrasound for 2000 in which the dog may die on the table or get another 6 to 8 months to live
or as the vet tells me if it is my dog I would put her down.

I let Mark know and we decided to put her down today. I call the vet and let them know. I leave work early in tears and get home at the same time Mark does and the dog greets us at the door wagging her tail with a toy in her mouth. Now she has not picked up a toy or wagged her tail in about 3 days. Her bloating is completely gone also.
Mark and I couldn't take her to be put down. How do you put a happy alert playing dog down?
We decided to get a second opinion. We take her tomorrow to a different vet. We have all her records. I feel good about the choice of not putting her down today. she is not in any pain that we can see and maybe our vet is wrong.

So yah... today sucked stress level wise.

Ah, Jody, that's the freakin' worst! And yet, if the bloating's gone...

I'm truly hoping for the best and this is just temporary.
