I'm looking at doing a semester of studying abroad in China. That'll help alot. I've got a chinese language program on my I-pod and I listen to that on my way to and from school. I spend all day Tuesday and Thursday listening to and doing nothing but chinese. And I still have problems in the classroom. I've tried to work out a deal with a few of the chinese students but scheduling conflicts and/or they want to charge by the hour. I gotta talk to my advisor about it.

I just need to get out of Virginia. Jill Biden wrote a book called Don't Forget, God Bless Our Troops. It's a childrens book about coping with a parent that is deployed. A couple of my friends are up in arms about it because it was read to their kids. They're calling it a blatant political ploy and yet, when I ask them to point out where in the story there's a political statement, they just keep saying "It's written by the wife of Joe Biden!" They're mad at me because I just. don't. get. it. They also don't understand why I'm not upset about that as I was when I found out that one of the biggest christian "educators" was using the Loch Ness Monster to disprove evolution and that the american taxpayer would have to pick up the tab for it.

Funny how those pictures never seem to work Victor. You had the same problem over at ODark and Tomoview. I think the one picture you did post at Tomoview was of a petite Latina woman - not a large African American one. Is this one your second wife?

They're the same woman. She gets mistaken for hispanic all the time though. I don't know what is up with the photosite I use. Flickr is very fickle. It's 50-50.

I went over to Facebook a few minutes ago and scrolled a bit through my newsfeed. How my liberal friends and conservative friends are viewing the debate is pretty damn entertaining.

I try to never bring it here Thad. This is a safe haven. We've hit on politics here a couple of times but I prefer to keep this the backyard BBQ - not the corner bar brawl

How can you call yourself a southerner and NOT know what chittlins are? Young lady in my english study group almost threw up when she found out. She's even had them several times.

Any idea on where in China you would like to study? With the exception of it's government and being very polluted China is a great country. The food is excellent and the people are very welcoming.

We live by a busy road and Shelley usually avoids it. Once in awhile she'll walk by it for until we get to the next block. Then when we get around the corner, we'll stop and she'll climb into my arms and just shake. Then she'll go on. She surprised the hell out of me today. Not only did she walk along the street she walked to the dog park. The dog park is about a mile from my apartment. She had so much fun she didn't want to leave. We got home and she's been bouncing off the wall.
