Gimme your rain, Tony!

It's ninety four degrees in the house. I've been wading laboriously through my editing notes, making the necessary amendments to the .doc manuscript. I'm about half way through and it's driving me nuts.

I want to write new stuff. Not do this. And yet it must be done.

I haven't been reading or writing much. I know I should really be doing the latter, striking while the iron's hot, so to speak, but I only have a brief glimpse of an idea right now. Maybe it's time to just start typing and see where I go with it.

My Dad's cat has been having health issues. Losing weight, problems swallowing food. We took her to the vet and they just called back and said she has a tumour in her throat. At her advanced age (16) treatment is not really a viable option.

My Dad is freaking out, tears streaming down his face, talking about the pet's he had to euthanize when he was a child, he keeps insisting that she is okay and we should just bring her home.

Oh, Chris I'm so sorry. We went through that nearly four years ago and it was the worst thing. Tony loves cats and I keep telling him we should go to the rescue place for another one, but he won't do it.

Gah... poor cat, and my thoughts go out to your dad.

Kellie had a temperature today of 103.7 - makes taking care of Ethan a bit difficult. I took her to the ER tonight and they gave her an IV of antibiotics and a prescription.
